Eleanor's Wassail

New product

  • Eleanor is a Cotswold x English Mule sheep living in the glorious Wiltshire countryside.
  • She grew her fleece especially for you - and to keep herself warm, of course.
  • I took her soft, shiny locks, dyed them and blended them with some silk on my drum carder to create this batt.
  • It's 50g, 80% Eleanor's wool, 5% Scottish Blackface wool and 15% silk.
  • Green fleece encases nubby flecks of red wool and is shot through with pale green silk and some silk throwsters waste threads. The colourway reminds me very much of orchards, with the green of the leaves and the red apples nestling in the foliage.
  • You could use it for feltmaking or spinning a luscious art yarn.
