Join us at Vowley Farm, Royal Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire, on Saturday 30th April 2016, for a day of woolly fun! Using spindles and carders and a fleece from one of the Alfie Purl sheep, we will be learning the craft of hand spinning.
Spinning is a fun and satisfying craft, and we will be starting the process right at the beginning, meeting the sheep whose fleece we will be using! We will then card the fleece, getting all the tangles out, then we will be using drop spindles, a simple and ancient tool, to create our first yarn.
Lunch and plentiful refreshments will be included in the price (please let me know of any dietary requirements).
We will start at 10.30 am and continue until 4 pm. Materials and tools will be provided, with an option to purchase more to take home. Please bring an apron, wellies and a warm coat.
6 places available.
Price £70 including lunch and cake.
