Cotswold Locks Copper Beech

New product

  • Dyed Cotswold locks from one of our very special flock of sheep, Louie Purl.
  • Louie is a pedigree Cotswold sheep, living in the glorious Wiltshire countryside. He grew these locks especially for you.
  • I washed them and dyed them these bodacious colours so you can use them for felting, spinning, doll-making, knitting or crochet.
  • The locks are c.8-10 inches long (they vary) and were hand dyed using acid dyes.
  • The pack weighs 25g.
  • The colourway Copper Beech is part of our Wiltshire collection, inspired by the county in which we live. Planted on top of Bronze Age barrows in the 18th century, the copper beech trees of Wiltshire can be seen silhouetted against the sky. The extraordinary colours of their leaves and bark inspired me to create this colourway.
